Today’s featured project goes out to all of you hi-tech enthusiasts out there, who enjoy a digitally-controlled lifestyle. Nod is an advanced gesture control ring allowing effortless communication with all of the smart devices, including phones, tablets, Google Glass, watches, home appliances, TVs, computers and more. How does it work? Just place the ring on your finger and start moving it in the air, thus controlling whichever device it is connected to. The producers say Nod can be used everywhere: at home, at the office, and anywhere in between.
As you can probably imagine, the new gizmo can be associated with various activities: “Whether you’re leading a presentation, working with a team, or just surfing, Nod gives you complete control over all your display devices, from your computer to your smart TV. Swipe between slides, search for new shows, play with photos, or type notes without setting a finger on your device.” Nod is designed to be worn on your index finger, but you can really wear it on whatever finger is most comfortable for you. There are 12 sizes available and the product comes with three interchangeable inserts that work for both righties and lefties. Nod’s battery life is currently one day of active use and the ring is waterproof. You can pre-order the device online here, for $149.
